EnrolmentTo enrol on a course at BBSI you should send a completed enrolment form together with a non-refundable deposit, which forms part of the tuition fees, (£500.00 or USD $1000.00) or full fees in advance. (In the case of a visa refusal, a refund of the deposit, less the £90.00 enrolment fee, may be granted at the discretion of the Directors, but only on production of an original visa refusal document stating you have met in full the Home Office criteria for applying for a student visa). The completed enrolment form can be sent by fax, e-mail or post. BBSI will subsequently confirm the booking and invoice the client for the total fees due. Any balance of fees should be paid 4 weeks prior to the course commencement date and should include any bank charges. There will be no refund in the event of late arrival, leaving or being dismissed before the end of the course. Enrolments are accepted on the understanding that the student will study for the length of stay that has been stated on the enrolment form. BBSI reserves the right to make changes to the dates, fees and content of courses, without notice.
Minimum AgeBBSI accepts students aged 17 and above for all its programmes, with the exception of our General English courses, for which the minimum age is 16 years.
Language LevelShould students wish to confirm their language level is sufficient for a particular course, they may undertake the BBSI on-line English test. Should a client’s language level prove too low for the course selected, BBSI will recommend an alternative course, and advise as to how much additional study time will be needed to achieve their training objectives.
ExaminationsExamination preparation is normally provided to suit published examination dates. Examination fees for those seeking to undertake external examinations are not included in the BBSI course fees. The fees for external examinations will be notified on request.
Classes & LessonsAll classes have a maximum of 12 persons; however, during peak periods, BBSI reserves the right to increase class sizes to a maximum of 15.

Extending a CourseA course can be extended at BBSI at any time during study. However, fees must be paid prior to commencement of the extended programme. Withdrawal Should a student leave or be dismissed from the School prior to the agreed course completion date, no refund will be payable. However, in the event of special circumstances, refunds may be granted at the Directors' discretion. Clients are nevertheless strongly advised to take out health insurance (see below). Should a student decide during his or her course to take a holiday and be absent from the course, he or she will forfeit the period of holiday taken, with no right to refund or compensation. In this case a student’s final certification may be in question.
AccommodationIn arranging accommodation, BBSI acts strictly as an agent in arranging and providing accommodation for its clients. Requests to change or leave previously allocated accommodation must be made at least one week prior to the proposed move or payment of the weeks fees in lieu. Please note that a fee of £20.00 will be charged for students requesting to change an allocated host-family. Where accommodation is required for a part-week only, that week’s fee is payable in full. During holiday periods, between terms or when the School is closed, clients should make their own domestic arrangements with their respective host family. However, should a period of absence coincide with a School break, a retainer of £40.00 will be payable.
DisciplineThe School reserves the right to dismiss a student for unsatisfactory work, poor attendance, or misconduct. In such circumstances, fees will not be refunded.
Liability & InsuranceBBSI and its representatives will not be liable for any loss, damage, illness, or injury to persons or property, however caused, except where such liability is imposed by law. It is each client's responsibility to take out personal insurance cover against all such risks, including the inability to attend or continue a course due to illness or accidental injury. This can be arranged by logging onto www.course-u-can.com. Cover can be arranged for the following:
- medical expenses
- personal accident
- cancellation/curtailment
- personal effects and money
- personal liability
Force MajeureNeither BBSI, nor its representatives, are liable in the event of the School being unable to supply services to which it is contractually bound, ie in the event of labour disputes, or other causes outside the School's control.
