Summer Course in Hospitality & Tourism
Course Outline
Course Duration. 2-12 weeks.
Minimum English-Language Entry Level. IELTS 5.5/CEFR B2.
Course Code. HSP.
Course Entry Dates. Entry to this flexible course is weekly from July to September. The first entry date for 2012 is 2 July and the last entry date is 10 September.Minimum Age. 17 years.
Award. Academic achievement is ascertained by means of continuous assessment.BBSI Certificate in Hospitality & Tourism.
Course Structure & Content. A minimum of 2 weeks' study is required, comprising 20, forty-five minute lessons (15 hours weekly). Course breakdown is as follows:

* accommodation services
* hotel grading systems
* tourist motivation & behaviour
* customer service
* hotel front office

* the travel industry

* the econmics of tourism
Course Objectives. The course objectives are to:* Develop English-language communication skills relevant to hospitality
management & tourism.* Build appropriate vocabulary for the hospitality & tourism industries.
* Develop an understanding of hospitality management & tourism concepts.
* Develop an understanding of current developments & issues within the
travel industry.Course Fees.
