Summer Course in Academic English Language & IELTS Examination Preparation 


This is English Study short courses in English in the UK during the summer months, July-September. BBSI is one of the most accredited business colleges and English schools in the UK. Based in Bournemouth, on the south coast of England, BBSI offers a short summer course in Academic English with IELTS Examination Preparation.

Our summer courses in Academic English & IELTS Examination Preparation are modular in format, so that students can join the courses at any time throughout the summer and study for periods that suit their personal circumstances.  The courses are suitable for those who have an Intermediate level in English or above, who require an internationally-recognised English language qualification to prove their academic communication skills to universities, colleges or further education or future employers. 

There are 2 study options: the AEI 30 (30 lessons weekly which is equivalent to 22.5 hours) and the more intensive AEI 40 (40 lessons weekly which is equivalent to 30 hours).  The courses are offered at different language levels, can be joined on most Mondays, and can be studied for periods of between 4 and 12 weeks.  The courses syllabi include extensive IELTS Examination Preparation and Academic Study Skills .  The course is conducted around a busy social and activity programme.

Entry Dates.  Entry to this flexible course is weekly from July to September 2010. 
The first entry date for 2010 is 05 July and the last entry date is 13 September.

10 lessons weekly in grammar & functions
  2 lessons weekly in vocabulary development
  4 lessons weekly in reading & writing skills
  4 lessons weekly in speaking, listening & pronunciation skills
10 lessons weekly in IELTS Examination Preparation & Academic Study 
      Skills (AEI 30 only)
20 lessons weekly in IELTS Examination Preparation & Academic Study Skills 
      (AEI 40 only)

† Examination fess for external examinations are not included in the BBSI course fees.
