University Foundation Courses in Legal Studies


Bournemouth Business School International (BBSI), our Business and English Language College in Bournemouth, UK, offers international students a variety of courses in Legal Studies. BBSI delivers its Legal Studies courses in different formats to suit the personal requirements of its clients and also their specific training objectives. We offer flexible 24-week, Higher-Certificate; 36-week, Extended Higher-Certificate, 36-week, Diploma and 48-week, Extended Diploma, University Foundation study options.

University Foundation Courses.  Our University Foundation courses in Legal Studies are designed for those seeking to study a first degree at a UK university.  Our foundation courses are carefully designed to enable students at an Upper-Intermediate level in English or above to improve their English in the context of international law, the legal profession and their related fields, prepare for undergraduate entry to university and also gain worthwhile business and law qualifications.  Depending on the student's academic background and current level in English, the course is available in 24-week, Higher-Certificate; 36-week, Extended Higher-Certificate; 36-week, Diploma or 48-week, Extended Diploma, study options.  Depending on the study option selected, awards include either a BBSI Higher-Certificate or Diploma qualification, plus an NCFE Certificate.  Additionally, students can prepare for and acquire up to 3 different University of Cambridge ESOL qualifications selected from the First Certificate in English (FCE), the Certificate in Advanced English (CAE), or the Business English Certificate (BEC); whilst also preparing for the International Legal English Certificate (ILEC), a professional legal English qualification.  The course syllabus includes extensive IELTS Examination Preparation and Academic Study Skills.  BBSI provides students with a comprehensive UK university placement service, and if the required grades are achieved, students are assured of entry to a UK university.

University Foundation Courses in Legal Studies: Higher-Certificate (24 weeks), Extended Higher-Certificate (36 weeks), Diploma (36 weeks) or Extended Diploma (48 weeks).
