Specialised Diploma in Legal Studies

Bournemouth Business School International (BBSI), one of the most highly-accredited business Schools and English colleges in England, offers international students the opportunity to study English, while also studying legal English and learning the concepts and skills required for a career related to law and the legal profession.

The BBSI Diploma course in Legal Studies is designed for students with an English language level
equivalent to IELTS 5.5/CEFR B2.  This 36-week study option places emphasis initially on developing
business communication skills, prior to the introduction of more specialised management and

University of Cambridge ESOL International Legal English Certificate (ILEC).  BBSI is an accredited
ILEC Examination Centre and preparation for the ILEC examination is included within the course
syllabus.  For students intending to undertake the optional ILEC examination, we would recommend
a minimum of 12 weeks' preparation prior to the examination date.

for up to 3 different University of Cambridge ESOL qualifications: the First Certificate in English
(FCE)
, the Certificate in Advanced English (CAE) , or the Business English Certificate (BEC)
.  Students wishing to take one of these examinations are recommended to study for a full 12 weeks
