Pre-Masters Certificate Course in Legal Studies


Bournemouth Business School International (BBSI), our highly-accredited business college and English school in Britain, offers international students the opportunity to learn English while also studying legal concepts and skills, and acquiring the advanced study skills required for postgraduate entry to a UK university.
 
Our Pre-Masters courses in Legal Studies are carefully designed for international law graduates who are seeking to undertake a postgraduate degree at a UK university.  The courses are available in 12, 24 or 36-week study options, all of which include extensive *IELTS Examination Preparation  and Advanced Study Skills .  Each programme comprise 30 lessons weekly which equates to 22.5 hours.  The Higher-Certificate and Diploma options lead to both BBSI and NCFE awards, and prepare students for the *University of Cambridge ESOL International Legal English Certificate (ILEC).  BBSI is an accredited ILEC Examination Centre.   
 
UK University Placement Service.  While undertaking Pre-Masters courses at BBSI, students are provided with extensive counselling and guidance in all aspects of postgraduate study at UK universities.  We also provide full assistance with the university application process.  

University Entry Requirements.  The majority of UK universities require that postgraduate students seeking entry to a masters course must be a minimum of 21 years of age on entry and have a minimum English-language level of IELTS 6.5 - IELTS 7.0, depending on the course and university of choice.

For those students with limited study time, a sound Upper-Intermediate Level in English, or who already have a firm offer from a UK university, we provide a 12-week Certificate study option.

   10 weekly lessons in IELTS Examination Preparation & Academic Study Skills   
Course Elements.  In addition to providing international students with a thorough and comprehensive grounding in professional and technical communication skills,  the syllabi for our various courses in Legal Studies incorporate either all or some of the following specialised topics:

BBSI courses are carefully designed and structured at different language levels to enable international students to develop all 4 English language skills simultaneously, while developing their professional communication skills and professional knowledge in academic, vocational or professional context, in the specialised subject of their choice. Students therefore have the flexibility to focus on either academic or vocational progression, depending on their personal training needs and particular learning objectives.
