BBSI Specialised Courses are aimed at those seeking a gap-year or short-term study programme so as to return home with enhanced professional skills and knowledge, as well as well-honed English-language communication skills in their specialisation of choice. The BBSI Specialised study options are designed to enable students with an Intermediate/CEFR B2 English level and above to study the concepts and learn the communication skills required for careers within their chosen field. The courses comprise 30 lessons weekly, and in addition to 20 lessons of specialised studies, students will have the opportunity to prepare for one of 3 different University of Cambridge ESOL examinations, including the First Certificate in English (FCE), the Certificate in Advanced English (CAE), or the Business English Certificate (BEC), depending on their English language level.
Entry levels. The minimum entry levels for the specialised study options, with the exception of Legal Studies, are as follows:
Specialised Certificate (4-12 weeks): Minimum entry level IELTS 5.5/B2
Specialised Higher Certificate (24 weeks): Minimum entry level IELTS 5.5/B2
Specialised Diploma (36 weeks): Minimum entry level IELTS 5.0/B2
The minimum entry levels for the vocational study options for Legal Studies are as follows:
Specialised Higher Certificate (24 weeks): Minimum entry level IELTS 6.0 /B2+
Specialised Diploma (36 weeks): Minimum entry level IELTS 5.5/B2
