Bournemouth Business School International (BBSI) delivers its range of professional and business courses in different formats to suit the personal requirements and specific training objectives of its clients.

BBSI University Foundation courses are aimed at those preparing to study a first degree at a UK university. As an integral feature of BBSI Foundation courses, students are provided with extensive counselling and guidance in all aspects of study at UK universities, and are given full assistance with the UK university application process. All Foundation students who successfully complete their course are assured of an offer of a university place prior to graduation from BBSI. The BBSI University Foundation study options are designed to enable students with an Intermediate/CEFR B1 English level and above to study the concepts and learn the communication skills required for careers within their chosen field, while acquiring the academic study skills required for undergraduate entry to a UK university degree course. The course comprises 30 lessons weekly, and the syllabus includes extensive IELTS Examination Preparation.

Professional Qualifications. BBSI is an Approved Training Centre for the delivery of training towards a number of recognised external qualifications, with practice included as an integral part of some programmes. This includes preparation for the Chartered Management Institute(CMI) Level 3 Diploma in First-Line Management, the International Computer Driver's Licence (ICDL), Cambridge ESOL's International Legal English Certificate (ILEC), and the International Certificate in Financial English (ICFE) qualifications. Therefore, depending on the course chosen, successful students can opt to acquire external, professional qualifications, as well as their BBSI award.

UK University Placement. While undertaking their University Foundation course and acquiring the academic study skills necessary for university, students are provided with extensive counselling and guidance in all aspects of study at UK universities, and are given full assistance with the UK university application process. All Foundation students who successfully complete their course are assured of an offer of a university place prior to graduation from BBSI.

Entry levels. The minimum entry levels for the University Foundation study options, with the exception of Legal Studies, are as follows:

Foundation Higher-Certificate (24 weeks): Minimum entry level IELTS 5.5/B2

Foundation Extended Higher-Certificate (36 weeks): Minumum entry level IELTS 4.5/B1

Foundation Diploma (36 weeks): Minimum entry level IELTS 5.0/B2

Foundation Extended Diploma (48 weeks): Minimum entry level IELTS 4.5/B1

The minimum entry levels for the University Foundation study options for Legal Studies are as follows:

Foundation Higher-Certificate (24 weeks): Minimum entry level IELTS 6.0 /B2+

Foundation Extended Higher-Certificate (36 weeks): Minimum entry levels IELTS 5.0/B2

Foundation Diploma (36 weeks): Minimum entry level IELTS 5.0/B2

Foundation Extended Diploma (48 weeks): Minimum entry level IELTS 5.0/B2
