BBSI was founded in 1992 and occupies 3 prominent Victorian buildings located in the centre of Bournemouth, a beautiful seaside resort on the south coast of England.  Our primary aim ­is to deliver a wide variety of high-quality study programmes for international students and to optimise their learning experience in the UK.  In their free time, students can participate in our social and activity programme, or involve themselves in the selection of leisure and sporting activities available in Bournemouth both during the day and in the evenings.

 

English Language Courses.  BBSI offers English courses year round at different language levels. Students can also study for and undertake the IELTS examination and a wide range of Cambridge ESOL English examinations.

 

Business and Professional Training.  We offer an extensive variety of study programmes all year round in popular subjects from certificate to diploma level. All courses include supportive English-language elements, and provide students with the opportunity to acquire important academic and professional qualifications.

 

Summer Courses.  During the summer months, July-September, BBSI offers short courses of between one and 12 weeks duration.  In addition to English, participants can study popular business or specialised subjects and prepare for and obtain a range of other important qualifications.

UK University Placement Service.  BBSI University Foundation and Pre-Masters courses include a University Placement Service to universities in the UK.  Provided students obtain the necessary grades, they are assured of their university place prior to completion of their course.

Academic Facilities.  BBSI comprises 33 classrooms, and we utilise a choice of DVD, VCR, CD and inter-active SmartboardTM facilities. School capacity is around 350 students.  Facilities include 2 fully-networked IT Multi-Media Centres, and Wi-Fi high-speed Broadband access throughout the premises. There is a student common room with satellite television and refreshment facilities.  In addition, BBSI has a reference library, a garden and patio area for relaxation, and parking areas for bicycles.

Sports, Leisure & Recreation.  BBSI offers a modest selection of leisure, sports and social activities, both during the day and in the evenings.  In planning such activities, the School takes account of the cultural differences between life in England and in students' home countries.  In satisfying this requirement, staff consider, among other factors, cultural background, lifestyles, age and religious faith.  Activities include:
